About the SILS™ Port

Imagine the precision needed to work within a 20 millimeter space - that’s just smaller than the diameter of a nickel!

For surgeons, the SILS™ Port does just that. This flexible and soft instrument is equipped with three distinct openings. That means that surgeons can insert just one device into the belly button, but operate with three laparoscopic devices simultaneously. For a patient, the SILS™ Port means that doctors can avoid making the multiple incisions associated with laparoscopic surgery that have been the norm for decades. When the surgery is complete, doctors simply remove the SILS™ Port from the belly button, leaving only one tiny incision to heal in its place.

The SILS™ Port is used in any SILS™ procedure to treat a variety of conditions, including gallstones, gastro-intestinal reflux disease and hernias.
